Operating in Papua New Guinea for over 30 years, Nestle PNG Limited is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Momase Sales team, based in Lae.

Reporting directly to the Sales & NAC Manager – Momase, the position holder will mainly be responsible ensuring delivery of all set objectives/targets for all sales operations relating to Field Sales, Distributors, and customers within assigned area/territory

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure achievement of agreed targets/KPIs for the assigned area
• Manage Sell out volume
• Develop and Implement field sales plan for the assigned area
• Effectively develop customers based on a monthly and yearly business plan by sales figures and product categories
• Maintain and develop marketplace with merchandising displays and implement efficient planogram according to Nestle standard
• Implement and control of promotional plans per marketing calendar to ensure maximum mileage is gained on product categories
• Control and manage company assets – vehicles, POS materials, demo and office equipment
• Coach, motivate and develop Nestlé direct sales force

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Strong field sales cycle planning and demonstrated ability to lead others to deliver it.
• Prior experience in managing a Field Sales team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets.
• Knowledge of trade standards and merchandising best practices.
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and order management.
• Valid driver's license.
