We are seeking qualified Auto Electricians to join our Mobile Fleet Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing electrical support to the mobile fleet by performing repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Equipment.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Complete quality Heavy Equipment electrical maintenance, repairs and servicing tasks in an appropriate timeframe
• Comply with all Safety, and Systems of Work Requirements for the position as prescribed
• Complete mandatory quality pre-release and daily maintenance checks (DMC) as part of standard quality checks
• Provide informative Equipment Handovers to other Auto Electricians at shift change
• Assist other maintenance team members in general maintenance tasks as required by the maintenance Superintendent.
• Maintain workshop and equipment to appropriate safety standards
• Completion of equipment maintenance and repair tasks as per standard work procedures or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisors.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• Minimum Grade 12 Level Education
• Technical Trade Certificate in Auto Electrical or similar
• Must be a PNG NATTB certified Auto Electrician
• Three (3) or more years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair or similar technical role
• Experience performing mining equipment service or maintenance tasks
• Experience working in an open-pit mining or heavy vehicle service environment
• Have high attention to detail and be focused on task completion
• Able to work unsupervised and with limited direction
• High Level of technical problem solving and time management skills
• Effective English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural workforce
• Excellent technical problem solving and time management skills
• Valid PNG driver’s licence class 3 or 6 with 5+ years of driving experience.

The above role is Hidden Valley mine site based.
