STORE PERSON

PNG Air’s MRO Department is recruiting for Store Person based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This position reports to the Stores Supervisor is responsible for day to day running of the Stores within the MRO department ensuring the on-time delivery of aircraft and non-aircraft spares to the Aircraft Engineers, MRO department.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

• Keeping the general Store area clean, tidy and uncluttered
• Ensuring all Aeronautical Parts are segregated per Part 145, Maintenance Repair Organisation
• Recognising safety as a Core Value in all decision making in their area of responsibility
• Taking personal responsibility for a positive safety culture by demonstrating a commitment to the company safety policy
• Ensuring that all parts and tool are correctly issued via the stores electronic system during his respective rostered shift
• Ensuring all Aircraft and Store room operational documents are correctly and neatly stored , controlled and traceable
• Ensuring all anomalies are promptly brought to the attention of the Stores Supervisor
• Participating fully during quality audits
• Attending staff meetings as required
• Pre-loading all requisitions for scheduled maintenance work packages and issuing these to the Maintenance Planner or Shift Supervisor
• Ensuring all parts returned from maintenance as surplus to requirements are returned to their proper bin location and computer records amended accordingly
• Checking outbound and inbound of ALL Tool and Equipment from Stores for obvious damage and ensuring there are no missing tools in the kit
• Other duties as directed by the Stores Supervisor

Qualifications,Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years’ Stores Experience (Preferably - Aviation Industry )
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Extensive knowledge in computer inventory systems.
• Working knowledge of MS Office. (Excel, Word and Outlook)
