Position Vacant: Brewing Supervisor

Function: Supply Chain - Brewing

Location: Port Moresby

We have an immediate opening for a Brewing Supervisor based in Port Moresby, reporting to the Brewing Manager. The incumbent will implement safety protocols during shifts while managing the entire Brewing process to achieve planned production volumes and quality standards, and drive improvements in key performance indicators.

Main duties include:

• Monitor and ensure all activities are done in line with the HEINEKEN Safety, Food safety, Quality and Sustainability standards, in the respective shift.
• Collect all the data from the process together with the Operators.
• Monitor the hygienic, housekeeping and order in the shift, ensuring proper execution according to the approved standards and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure that all the activities are done in line with the quality standards.
• Collect all the data from the process together with the Operators.
• Participate, monitor and support the Total Production Management way of working. Actively contribute to AM Brewing agenda.
• Lead and support the implementation of the improvement activities.
• Control execution of all Brewing operational processes.
• Support Operators in case of problems and ensure execution of plans.
• Use approved and predefined reporting and escalation channels for any anomalies or deviations from established standards and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure that production equipment is operated and maintained in the desired manner (standard working condition).
• Provide support to operators and seek guidance from management when required.
• Propose equipment modifications and provide feedback to higher management in accordance with internal standards and procedures.
• Execute the agreed plans and strategy.
• Collect data on operators’ performance and provide feedback and input regarding individual performance.
• Collect (or assist in collecting) and process basic data (information, records, etc.), and compile reports in line with assigned responsibilities.
• Provides reports on higher management levels.
• Follow production planning and support needs of other Supply Chain departments (e.g., Packaging, Warehouse).
• Ensure optimal use of resources and monitor the execution of agreed plans.

Qualification and Experience:

• Preferred Bachelor education level.
• Must have 1 - 3 years of beverage technological experience.
• Background in Brewing, Quality of Brewing, Biotechnology, FMCG production management, etc.
• Proven people management.
• Knowledge of Total Production Management, Lean and Six (6) Sigma, etc.
