We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Fitters to join our Mobile Fleet Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for performing workshop and field repairs on all heavy equipment.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Perform high-quality maintenance, repairs, and servicing of heavy equipment within required timeframes.
• Comply with all Safety, and Systems of Work Requirements for the position as prescribed
• Complete mandatory pre – release and Daily Maintenance Checks (DMC) as part of standard quality checks
• Provide informative Equipment Handovers to other Fitters at shift change
• Assist other maintenance team members in general maintenance tasks as required
• Maintain workshop and equipment to appropriate safety standards
• Completion of equipment maintenance and repair tasks as per standard work procedure (SWP) or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisors

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• Minimum Grade 12 Level Education
• Technical Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting or similar (Desirable)
• Must be a PNG NATTB certified Heavy Equipment Fitter (Desirable)
• Three (3) or more years of experience in Heavy Equipment maintenance and repair or similar technical role
• Experience working in an open pit mining or heavy vehicle service environment
• Experience performing mining equipment service or maintenance tasks
• High level of attention to detail and be focused on task completion
• High Level of technical problem solving and time management skills
• Effective English written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work under minimum supervision
• Able to work effectively within a multi – cultural workforce
• Valid PNG driver’s licence class 3 or 6 with 5+ years of driving experience.

The above role is Hidden Valley mine site based.
