About the role

To Support the Logistics Team Lead with all K92 Mining import / export cargo movement, and to facilitate payments to freight companies by correctly processing all necessary documentation.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Ensure the prompt delivery of all import / export and warehouse freight.
• Set weekly and daily priorities, and report on activity and outcomes
• Ensure that all aspects of logistics are undertaken in accordance with established policy and procedures. Ensuring that safety is paramount to all tasks performed.
• Assist the Logistics Team Lead to Investigate discrepancies and incidents.
• Finalize accounts requirements for freight movement to ensure a timely payment of accounts.
• Monitor the delivery of goods and materials to the warehouse ensuring that deliveries are completed to the K92 Mining schedules and plans.
• Liaise with representatives from K92 Mining freight forwarders, all freight contractors, suppliers and end users. Ensure that co- operative working relationships are maintained.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have experience with some functions of Pronto system that are relevant to the role to support logistics requirement. In addition to this, successful applicants should have all of the following.

• Experience with storage and handling of Dangerous goods.
• Experience in Purchase Order reconciliations within Pronto.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industry with relevant experience within shipping and logistics.
• Experience communicating with vendors in PNG and abroad/overseas.
• Experience in Microsoft suite office tools: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
