PARTS & INVENTORY MANAGER
HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction and maintenance, haulage, lighting and crushing services and plant equipment hire.
We are taking expressions of interest for an experienced Parts & Inventory Manager based at 11 mile, Lae, Morobe Province for its upcoming and existing projects in Papua New Guinea:
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the preparation of relevant documentation including correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Lead the planning of major Supply Chain initiatives including Project Procurement, Project Mob / Demob and Logistics Operations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of major Supply Chain initiatives and daily operations of the Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse departments.
- Develop; implement and maintain efficient and effective Supply Chain processes.
- Ensure all relevant records of jobs are kept enabling delivery of services and invoicing for such to both internal and external clients.
- Assist the Divisional Manager – Dealership & Supply Chain as and when required.
- Manage a team of staff and taking responsibility for their training and development.
- Planning and scheduling own work to meet required timelines and outputs.
- Understanding output requirements and clarifying as appropriate.
- Managing systems and processes to enable timely and accurate recording, reporting and analysis of information.
- Continually seeking ways to improve the provision of Supply Base Operations and processes.
- Leading in the ongoing improvement of record keeping, reporting and documentation.
- Maintaining productive relationships with the personnel, site contractors and other key stakeholders
- Clarifying key stakeholder requirements and delivery of effective services to meet these.
- Providing professional and timely advice and support to the team, including subcontractors, to assist them to deliver required Supply Base and Logistics Services.
Experience
- Minimum of at least 10 years’ experience Supply Chain Management, Construction, Mining, Heavy Equipment, Logistics or similar role.
- Experiencing managing a team
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree qualification in Supply Chain Management or related.
