Q2I is pleased to implement the five-year (2024-2029) United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Papua New Guinea (PNG) Peace Project. Q2I is dedicated to creating a dynamic peacebuilding paradigm, deeply rooted in the complex terrains of Hela and Morobe provinces. Our methodology is anchored in a data-centric CLA approach leveraging real-time data and active stakeholder engagement to tailor adaptability and learning in conflict-sensitive environments. Q2I understands that a cross-sectoral approach to peacebuilding and leveraging local partnerships are key to addressing drivers of fragility including applying lessons learned from locally-led community peacebuilding initiatives driven by women and youth.
Q2I is seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement and Logistics Officer who will be responsible for providing operational and logistical support to the Peace Project.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain logistics processes and procedures, including for procurement, travel, and security.
- Obtain quotations and bids from the market for procurement requests in line with Q2 Impact standards and procedures, providing guidance to vendors on the quotation process.
- Review purchase orders and equipment procurement.
- Support travel arrangements, including tracking staff movement, arranging accommodation, facilitating travel advances, and reviewing trip and travel expense reports.
- Coordinate logistics and arrangements for all project activities, including workshops and trainings.
- Manage office supplies stock and place orders as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and managing project-related documentation.
- Ensure all project inventory is properly tagged and recorded.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or other related field.
- Three years’ relevant experience supporting operations and logistics for international development activities.
- Ability to maintain file systems and trackers, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with culturally diverse staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required.
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
This position reports to the Grants and Operations Manager.
