Service Estimator – HVAC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Service Estimator to join our HVAC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for HVAC service work, including repairs, maintenance, and small projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with technicians, clients, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review service requests, work orders, and site assessments to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for each job.
• Prepare and submit detailed quotations and proposals to clients.
• Collaborate with service technicians and project managers to ensure scope accuracy.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and estimation tools.
• Follow up on submitted quotes and assist in closing sales.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Provide technical support and clarification to clients and internal teams.
• Track and report on estimation performance and conversion rates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in HVAC or a related mechanical services field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and service practices.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Trade qualification or relevant technical certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
