Our Lihir operation in Mobile Cranes & Rigging is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in coordinating maintenance activities and strategies with the production plan through the Planning Department. Understanding plant priorities and the longer-term maintenance schedule will be key to your success.

The Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role by managing maintenance operations to align with the production plan and providing essential technical input to develop comprehensive maintenance plans. Also, this role provides support for complex tasks, contributes to long-term planning and smart shutdowns, and ensures that all procedures used by technicians are appropriate and effective, maintaining operational efficiency and safety within our maintenance proceedings.

Our ideal candidate holds Advanced Rigging and Open Class Crane Licenses (High-risk License) and brings at least 7 years of experience in metals extraction and processing, including demonstrated leadership roles. The preferred candidate will also possess experience and qualifications in Training and Assessment to effectively develop team members through regular feedback, coaching, and formal training initiatives. This combination of technical expertise and leadership capabilities will contribute significantly to the success of our maintenance operations at Lihir.
