Oxfam’s vision in PNG is for Papua New Guineans to live equitably and free from poverty. Oxfam’s primary strategic objective within PNG is to support change that build more resilient, just and economically secure communities where women can lead, actively participate, and hold others accountable.
Oxfam works within three program areas in PNG: Gender Justice, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Water, Hygiene and Sanitation. As a humanitarian organisation Oxfam has a standing mandate to respond to disasters within all of the countries in which it operates.
