PNG DataCo Limited has been established by the Government of Papua New Guinea as a State Owned Enterprise in February 2014 to own, manage, operate and maintain telecommunications wholesale infrastructures and assets. PNG DataCo’s objective is to ultimately provide high capacity, resilient and robust wholesale international and domestic network telecommunications at competitive and non-discriminatory prices to retail service providers in PNG.

PNG DataCo’s primary role will be to provide broadband wholesale only telecommunications services to retail carriers and service providers in PNG (i.e. current and future network license holders) over the PNG National Transmission Network (NTN).
