Account Reconciliation & Balance Sheet Officer
We are searching for a self starter to join us as an Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Officer. The role ensures accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts and preparation of balance sheets in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards and supports financial integrity that provides critical insights for decision-making.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Everyday is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for all general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets and related schedules.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances promptly.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to finance and accounting.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in account reconciliation and balance sheet preparation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexible to work extra hours if and when required.
