The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Kompiam Rural Hospital, Enga Province.
Accountant (8CHSENG014) PS 15
Purpose of the role
The accountant is responsible to the Finance and Administration Manager by managing Agency Accounting system and provides support and guidance to the accounts officer in ensuring there is a transparent provision of financial information that is complement with Public Finance Management Act.
Outline of duties:
- Assist Accounts Officer- Financial Accounting Develop log frames and Manager Finance and Administration
- Laise and consult Manager Finance & Admin for funds procurement and distribution to appropriate bodies.
- Review the transactional accounting activities performed by the shared services team and prepare all monthly reports using QuickBooks format with necessary bank reconciliation and closing entries.
- Maintain and fast track consultant recruitment and special project work program
- Preparation of Financial Reporting ad present to Finance Manager and Management to submit to stakeholders
- Ensure regular review for cost effectiveness and appropriateness of financial services are established.
Requirements for the role:
- Must have Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Public Finance or Business Administration and must be certified CPA Member
- Must have minimum of 3-5 years’ extensive work experience in a finance management and admin, planning and budgeting.
- Experience working with overseas donors is desirable
- Advanced MS Excel, modelling and financial reporting skills
- Able to meet deadlines with good sober work ethics
- Must have a valid NID Card or must be in the process of obtaining one which is a requirement from DPM and CHS
