Job Summary:
The Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our property
management company. This position involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing
financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive,
organized, and analytical professional with a strong background in accounting and a passion for
accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all properties.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow for each property.
- Budgeting and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for properties.
- Generate monthly and annual financial reports for management.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for
improvement.
- Rent and Lease Administration:
- Track rent collections and ensure timely follow-up on delinquent accounts.
- Initiate and maintain lease agreements and ensure accurate billing for tenant charges (e.g., utilities, maintenance fees).
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and
reports. - Prepare and file tax documents related to property operations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with property managers and other team members to resolve financial
issues and provide support. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve property performance.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property
management or real estate. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software MYOB and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with
tenants, and team members. - Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines effectively.
