ACCOUNTANT EXECUTIVE

International Food Corporation Ltd, the leading manufacture of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and South Pacific seeking to recruit highly motivated and qualified experience individual to fill the position of Accountant Executive.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

An accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting.

JOB Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Prepare financial management reports
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
• Monitor and support taxation issues
• Develop and maintain financial data bases
• Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
• To ensure standard documentation procedures had to be complied with in the process of recording, keeping and filing of certain data

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 3+ years of accountant experience.
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Demonstrated Mentoring, Orientation & Training Skill
• Good interpersonal, problem solving & time management skill
• Advanced Excel skills (VLookups, pivot tables) and can operate Pronto.
• Excellent computer literacy & skill of MS office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/internet etc.)
• Experience of working in a computerized accounting environment. (accounting database
