Reinhold Engineering and Group of Companies Limited is a nationally owned civil works and building construction company based in Port Moresby. As we continue to grow and strengthen our operations across Papua New Guinea, we are seeking a capable and experienced Accounts Office with proven experience in the construction industry to support our administrative functions.
About the Role
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing daily transactions, and ensuring the fiscal health and compliance of our Company. The successful incumbent will support accounts payable/receivable, reconciling ledgers and handle financial reporting.
This position is well suited to an individual who is organized, confidential, and capable of operating in a fast-paced construction and project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across all finance functions.
- Accurately record and process all daily financial transactions, including vendor invoices, employee expenses, and customer payments.
- Perform routine reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash book ledgers to ensure there are no discrepancies.
- Prepare and send out invoices/bills, track accounts, and follow up with clients on overdue payments.
- Provide accurate summaries, data and reports for month-end and year-end close.
- Verify transaction documentation and ensure all records comply with company policies, tax laws and financial regulations.
- Maintain and update confidential reconciliation, transactions and bank statements and assist with audits as required.
- Other duties in line with the role as requested by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as an Accounts Officer or Accounts Clerk.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications specifically MS Excel
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Experience in MYOB is preferable.
