We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidates for the following roles within our Finance Team. This are Port Moresby based roles.
Accounts Receivable Officer/Accounts Payable Officer
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and reliable Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Officers to join our Finance team in Port Moresby. These roles are responsible for ensuring accurate processing of receivables and payables, supporting cash flow management and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibility Areas
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections
- Perform debtor reconciliation and maintain accurate records
- Resolve billing queries with clients and internal teams,
- Generate ageing reports and support cash flow tracking
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with month-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable:
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Prepare and process payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records
- Respond to vendor queries professionally
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls
- Assist with month-end closing processes
Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in handling high-volume invoices preferred
- Computer literate
- Experience with Accounting systems (MYOB, ATTACHE, SAP)
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, reliable and able to work independently
- Problem-solving and customer service focus
