Administrative Assistant- Academic Office
The Organisation:
Pacific Adventist University (PAU) is owned and operated by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The institution is accredited by the Adventist Accreditation Association, an international denominational authority for all tertiary and graduate educational programs and institutions owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church entities. The main campus is located on the pristine Koiari Park, 14 miles outside Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. The institution was established in 1984. Since then, it has grown from a college of 20 students to a university of over 1000 students from across the Pacific.
The Role:
Reporting to the Registrar, the Administrative Assistant is to primarily provide administrative support to the Academic Office. This includes data entry, record keeping and filing, attending to student queries and facilitating/liaising on student visas for international students.

About you:
Qualifications and Skills required:
- A diploma in office management or other related area of study (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Prior office administration or secretarial support experience viewed favourably.
- Familiarity with student visa requirements for international students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong time management, organisational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of office communications, records, and files.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with strong electronic data entry and data management skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work collaboratively.
- Professional integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Commitment to supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
