AIRPORT MANAGER (Kokopo)

The Airport Department is seeking suitably qualified local based applicants to apply for its Airport Manager role, based in Kokopo.

Reporting to the Regional Airport Manager; this position will be responsible for the following accountabilities:

• Manage all aspects of the Operations to ensure 100% OTP in all turn around;
• Provide overall management, leadership and support to all staff;
• Develop and implement cost efficient methods to assist the port operations;
• Monitor and manage all expenses within approved budget;
• Overall management of GSE in the allocated airport;
• Provide support to NAC and all other stakeholders;
• Identify and improve RPT scheduling issues affecting operations;
• Provide feedback to appropriate departments;
• Participate in inspections and audits, liaise with regulators and report where required;
• Ensure Safety at work is adhered too;
• Schedule and facilitate emergency and table top exercises;
• Investigate and solve local port issues.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

• Tertiary Qualification-Diploma in Business Management or equivalent
• Previous Managerial experience in the Airline Industry is preferable
• Excellent Reporting, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be presentable and have good hygiene.
• Must have a valid PNG Driver’s license and Police Clearance
