AIRPORT SUPERVISOR (Kokopo)

The Airport Department is seeking for an experienced candidate for the position of Airport Supervisor. The Position will be based in Kokopo and must have own accommodation.

This position will operationally report to the Airport Manager and will be responsible to;

  • Supervise customer serviceand ramp teams to ensure service standards are achieved;
  • Monitor operational requirements to ensure optimal use of available resources;
  • Supervise Customer Serviceand ramp teams on shift ensuring the appropriate service standards are met;
  • Ensures all on time performance targets are met and communicated to staff in accordance with the Company Precision Timing Schedule; and
  • Manage flight and passenger disruptions
  • Identify training needs to address team member knowledge and skills gaps;
  • Maintain a positive and progressive work environment;
  • To maintain detailed and practical knowledge of customer recovery techniques;
  • Communicate disruption advice to passengers and provide regular updates;
  • Assist the Airport Manager with the completion of team member performance reviews and ensuring training needs are address with team members.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Must complete Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • At least1-3 years’ working experience within Operations or in the Aviation Industry.
  • Possess well-developed decision-making skills with high customer service standards.
  • Be a good team player and able to work under minimum supervision
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
