ANALYST (X2)– LICENSING & COMPLIANCE UNIT (LACU), FINANCIAL SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT (FSDD).
Reports To: Manager – Licensing & Compliance Unit (LACU), FSDD
The primary role of Analyst LACU is to effectively and efficiently assist in undertaking the work allocated to the work group staff and to contribute to BPNG functions and be accountable to the Senior Analyst LACU. This involves assisting in licensing and compliance enforcement. This role also contributes to strategic planning and ensures that licensing processes are efficient and align with the Bank’s broader policy goals. The analyst works under the guidance of the Senior Analyst to help maintain a sound and stable financial system.
Education/Qualification/Experience/Skills/Competencies:
- Degree in Banking/Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of work experience in a regulatory, legal, financial, or banking environment.
- Experience in handling licensing applications, policy interpretation, or compliance monitoring is desirable
- Appropriate technical skills and knowledge to deliver.
- Proficient in Microsoft suites (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A basic understanding of the banking, finance and savings and loans, superannuation or life insurance industries and the ability to develop a detailed knowledge of at least one of the relevant Acts and prudential standards and a working knowledge of other related legislation.
