POSITION VACANCY

We have a vacancy for an ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER position in the Finance Division. The position is suited to a candidate who is seeking a stable long-term future with great career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Controller with month-end closing and reporting
- Oversee and/or prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Supervise accounts receivables and payables
- Review and approve supplier payments
- Supervise month end inventory counts
- Prepare/review payroll files
- Manage compliance with statutory regulations (IRC, IPA, BPNG)
- Assist the Financial Controller with staff training
- Any other tasks required by the Financial Controller
Key Requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- CPA PNG qualified or working towards it.
- 3 -6 years Finance/Accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience in Xero Accounting system or other accounting software packages is required.
- Construction Industry experience would be preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS
