We have a vacancy for an ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER position in the Finance Division. The position is suited to a candidate who is seeking a stable long-term future with great career prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller with month-end closing and reporting
• Oversee and/or prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Supervise accounts receivables and payables
• Review and approve supplier payments
• Supervise month end inventory counts
• Prepare/review payroll files
• Manage compliance with statutory regulations (IRC, IPA, BPNG)
• Assist the Financial Controller with staff training
• Any other tasks required by the Financial Controller

Key Requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA PNG qualified or working towards it.
• 3 -6 years Finance/Accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience in Xero Accounting system or other accounting software packages is required.
• Construction Industry experience would be preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS
