ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Manager – Human Capital is responsible for coordinating and overseeing effective delivery of our Human Capital functions. The role ensures efficient execution of HR operations, payroll, talent management, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and reporting, while working closely with the Head of Human Capital and the wider Human Capital team to support organisational objectives and workforce effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including manpower requisitions, job postings, shortlisting, interview coordination, and offer documentation.
  • Liaise with and oversee Human Capital teams to support recruitment and onboarding requirements for international operations.
  • Support the resolution of employee relations matters in line with company policies and applicable labour laws.
  • Assist in managing discipline, grievance, and counselling processes, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Support compliance with internal policies, labour laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of HR letters, contracts, confirmations, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Assist in identifying training needs in collaboration with department heads.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programs, workshops, and learning initiatives.
  • Support the administration of the performance management process.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance management tools and timelines.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics for management and board purposes.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing relevant HR insights.
  • Analyse safety data and identify improvement strategies and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and service delivery.
  • Support implementation of HR initiatives, projects, and digitalization efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Capital Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant Human Capital/HR experience, preferably in a Banking and Financial Services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across levels.
  • Organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in HR reporting and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Leadership and ability to coordinate, mentor and coach.
