ASSISTANT MANAGER FINANCE & BUSINESS SUPPORT

This talented Finance Leader will be responsible for advising, monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance related laws, procedures, regulations and of course in-depth reporting for Crowne Plaza Residences Port Moresby.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Ensuring compliance with all Finance related procedures.
- Familiar with Opera (Hotel PMS software).
- Proven strong knowledge of Pronto Accounting System.
- Responsible for the accounts receivable function including daily payment allocation, timely credit collection follow ups, and AR ageing control, credit card reconciliations and resolving credit card chargebacks.
- Supervise Accounts Payable process, verification of AP invoices including coding and payment.
- Responsible for month-end process including Month End journals, P&L reporting, and Balance Sheet reconciliation.
- Assist with the preparation of forecast and budget.
- Analyse financial information and control expenditures of all departments to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements.
- General Cashiering and banking.
- Compile and lead the preparation and analysis of periodical financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years in hotel accounting or auditing experience including management experience or similar will be desirable.
- Ideally be CPA / CA qualified (or currently pursuing to be).
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suites.
- Pronto experience is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure against competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead an effective Finance Team.
- Exceptional level of communication, organisation, and attention to detail, along with a high level of analytical and problem- solving abilities able to build and maintain strong relationships and communicate effectively
