ASSISTANT NIGHT SECURITY MANAGER
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Coordinate the activities of all security personnel, engage in the implementation of safety and security procedures and provide assistance and advice to other departments in relation to security
- Ensure all security personnel as well as hotel’s staff are adhering to security procedures
- Coordinate patrolling of all boundary areas, rooms, offices, storage areas, public areas, and function rooms
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with hotel policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain effective relations with external contacts, including government agencies, industry bodies, vendors, and community partners, to keep up to date with security standards and monitor security trends within the city that could impact hotel operations.
- Coordinate and maintain a close working relationship with Guard Dog to ensure the effective management of hotel guarding services, CCTV and tracking systems and staff transport requirements.
- Ensure highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality guest services.
- Coordinate all employee-related and guest-related investigations by gathering statements, conducting interviews, and preparing incident reports for submission to the General Manager, Hotel Manager, and Director of Human Resources when it is employee related.
What we need from you
- At least 2+ years of experience in a security management or related role
- Experience in 24 shift work environment and can work night/grave yard shifts
- Must have current and clean drivers license Class 3 or 6
- Strong knowledge of Papua New Guinea laws relevant to security and compliance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach
- Proficiency in reporting and incident documentation, including the use of security systems or software
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
