ASSISTANT NURSE-LAE BASE

International Food Corporation Limited, the leading manufacture of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and South Pacific seeking to recruit highly motivated and qualified experience individual to fill the position of Assistant Nurse.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

• The Assistant Nurse will be reporting to the Nursing officer @ IFC site clinic.
• Performing clinical nursing duties, triage, examination, drug administration and data entry of daily attendance of IFC employees an, national and expatriates.
• Participate in occupational health activities such as Health Awareness Presentations, Pre-employment medical checks for all new hires, Medical Induction Presentation and Annual Medical check yearly.
• Have some knowledge of Work-Related Injury verses Non- Work-Related Injury.
• Able to assist in any emergency situations with some experience in managing emergency case scenarios.
• Ensure compliance in quality medical data entry using the SOAP format manually and electronically.
• Pro-active and willingness to learn and accept new changes in clinical nursing and medicine administration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Nursing or relevant Nursing certificate as a Registered Nurse-Mandatory
• Have a current ATP license to practice- Mandatory
• At least a year experience in clinical nursing or a new graduate from accredited Nursing schools in PNG.
• Have a certificate in First Aid Provider. -Necessary
• ACLS certificate-Necessary
• Have some basic knowledge about computer and MS word and excel in essential.
• Excellent English and Pidgin (Tok Pisin) language speaking, are essential parts in effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain medical confidentially of patients and all stakeholders
