EastWest Transport under Steamships Trading Company is in search of a proven, capable and results-driven individual for the position of a Auto Electrician to be specialised in heavy vehicles. Your duties will include installing, and repairing electrical wiring, diagnosing problems with vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical equipment.

Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Kimbe, West New Britain Province. As an Auto Electrician, your primary responsibilities are as follows;

• Diagnostic and fault tracing of a varied range of our fleet
• Gathering information from driver about issues with their electrical system
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
• Servicing of electrical automotive parts
• Maintaining a clean working environment
• Highly safety focused on all times and take a personal responsibility for safety of others
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned for costing in a timely manner
• Perform other task that may assign from time to time

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years proven work experience as an Auto Electrician – commercial heavy vehicles.
• Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment
• Able to work under pressure, overtime and withstand harsh environment.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

• Diploma or relevant Certificate/Trade qualifications
• Police clearance & medical clearance
• References from reputable employers
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Honest, reliable, and great work ethic
• Able to participate in workplace safety
