We are seeking a competent and flexible individual to fill the vacant position of Auto Electrician - Supervisor. This position is based in Kimbe, West New Britain Province and reports to the Workshop Superintendent.

AUTO ELECTRICIAN – SUPERVISOR

Job Purpose:

To lead, supervise, and coordinate all auto electrical maintenance and repair activities for heavy vehicles, mobile equipment, and associated systems, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. The Auto Electrician Supervisor also ensures compliance with company maintenance standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements while supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of specialized systems, including Tramanco weighing scale systems where applicable, to minimize downtime and optimize fleet performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate auto electrical maintenance and repair activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults on heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Utilize vehicle diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify faults.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate Tramanco weighing scale systems will be an advantage
• Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and maintenance standards.

Job Requirements:

• Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory auto electrical role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, diagnostics, and fault finding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Proven experience in the repair and calibration of Tramanco weighing scale systems will be highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicle electrical systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
