AUTO-ELECTRICIAN - WORKSHOP

Zenag Chicken is the longest established and leading producer of high-quality chickens and eggs in PNG. Established in 1946 with its corporate HQ in Lae Industrial Centre and Poultry Farm based outside of Lae which supplies quality eggs and chicken throughout PNG.

We are looking for a qualified Auto Electrician who will be reporting to the Workshop Manager. You will be working in the workshop department which is Farm Base and any other areas where there is a breakdown of company vehicle that require auto electrical work.

Duties:

• Responsible for battery charging, repair and replacements of starter and alternator, wiring and replacements of bulbs and lamps.
• Responsible of all machine’s electrical components
• Ensuring to maximize the availability of all company fleets and equipment.
• Ensuring inventory of the auto electrical materials are maintained.
• Ensuring housekeeping is done after completed task.

Skills and Specifications

• Trade certificate/diploma in Automotive/Auto-Electrical from a recognized technical school
• Recognized tradesman certificate
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an auto electrician.
• Good understanding of electrical/electronic circuit troubleshooting
• Experience in Electronic Diagnostic Tools, familiar in Cummins, Toyota, ISUZU, Komatsu, JCB, Hyundai.
• Have extensive knowledge of Kenworths Trucks
• Physically fit & Safety cautious to work in the workshop.
• Must be flexible with working hours.
• Must possess good communication skills.
