About the role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Auto Electrician to join our Service Team based in Port Moresby.

The primary focus of this role is to support the product sold through the Company by diligently carrying out maintenance, repair and recondition jobs of earthmoving machinery as directed to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a timely manner.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, your competency and experience will include:

• Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
• Ensure customer expectations and service standards are understood and delivered within agreed timeframes.
• Teardown Procedures, Assembly Procedures, Assembly Checklist, Assembly reports, Job management, Core credits processing.
• Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
• Act as a mentor for Apprentices.
• Coaches and promotes team work to maximise performance. Ensures above the Line behavior, utilizing the relevant coaching or disciplinary measures to rectify any short comings.
• Ensure appropriate control guidelines are used to carry out all repairs to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines for reusable parts.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Trade Qualification
• Three to five years’ experience in similar role or equivalent.
• Electronic and/or fiber optic skills and experience

This is a residential, full-time role based in Port Moresby. Only Port Moresby based residents are required to apply.
