PNG Motors is one of Papua New Guinea’s leading automotive groups, representing brands like Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Suzuki, JMC and Joylong. Our workshops run on accuracy, discipline, and technical skill — and auto electrical work is where guesswork gets expensive.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Port Moresby workshop and take on the electrical work others usually get called in to fix.

This is not a role for someone learning on the job. If your experience is limited, this is not the one to test it on.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing vehicle electrical systems across multiple brands. That includes fault finding, reading wiring diagrams, tracing electrical issues, and carrying out clean, reliable repairs that hold up in real conditions.

You’ll work on everything from starting and charging systems to sensors, ECUs, lighting, accessories, and electronic faults. You’ll also handle fit-outs and installations including radios, alarms, GPS units, and other electrical accessories.

The expectation is simple: diagnose properly, wire it properly, fix it properly.

This role suits a qualified Auto Electrician with real workshop experience and the confidence to work without being carried.

You know how to fault-find properly, not guess. You understand modern vehicle systems, can read wiring diagrams, and know the difference between a clean install and a future comeback.

You work well with technicians, service advisors, and parts teams. You keep your work tidy, your job cards accurate, and your standards high.

If people already call you when the hard electrical jobs land, this will feel familiar.
