The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) is seeking expressions of interest for a Board Director to join its governing body. As a corporate body, the Board is responsible for the management and control of NICTA's business and affairs. The Board comprises three non-Executive Members and the Chief Executive (ex officio).

Individuals employed with or affiliated to current licensees need not apply.

Key Responsibilities

Board Directors, as Members of NICTA, are responsible for the overall management and control of the Authority's business and affairs. Decisions are made by a majority vote.

Key Requirements

Candidates for the Non-Executive Board Director role should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Telecommunications, ICT, Law, Business, or Economics, with a postgraduate degree being preferred. They must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the telecommunications/ICT sector and public service, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic thinking, and prior board experience. Essential skills include corporate governance, navigating regulatory environments, financial oversight, and risk management.
