We are a major construction company based in Lae, Morobe Province, delivering significant infrastructure and building projects throughout Papua New Guinea.

As an equal opportunity employer, we are seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join our team in the following Lae-based positions, all reporting directly to the Workshop Manager.

BOILERMAKER

• Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for steel fabrication, construction, assembly, maintenance, and repair work using engineering drawings and specifications while ensuring all work complies with required safety standards.

• Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding symbols to plan and execute work.
• Use hand tools, flame-cutting torches, shears, and metal-cutting machinery to cut and shape steel plates and pipes.
• Align, clamp, and tack-assemble metal components before final joining.
• Perform ARC, MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as well as bolting and riveting where required.
• Grind, polish, and test completed welds and fabricated structures to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

• Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 Certificate.
• Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication and Welding.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated competency in MIG, ARC, and pressure-system welding.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
