Position Vacant: Brewing Technician

Function: Supply Chain

Location: Lae

We have an immediate requirement for a Brewing Technician to join our Brewing Team based in Lae, reporting to the Brewing Supervisor - Lae.

Main duties include:

• Works in line with the defined and implemented HEINEKEN Safety, Food safety, and Sustainability standards, in the Brewing department and local regulation(s).
• Contributes, applies, and follows the Safety agenda in the Brewing department.
• Safety tasks are executed and sustained at the required level.
• Monitors the quality of the product and process.
• Recognizes the tags and some of the improvement opportunities and executes the tasks accordingly.
• Executes the 5S, tagging process, CILT, and applies problem-solving tools.
• Participates/leads in the improvement teams.
• Operates and executes all brewing operational processes on a machine in line with valid standards and procedures.
• Manages documentation and reporting of the area of work till his/her level of authority.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement activities and in case of deviations reports it to the Brewing Shift Supervisor.
• Maintains equipment and works in line with defined safety, food safety, and sustainability standards.
• Applies 5S, good housekeeping practices, CIP compliance and Hazard Control Plan compliance in the workplace.
• Applies and follows Safety agenda in Brewing department. Identify safety points that need improvement.
• Supports in safety teams
• Operates with all machines/processes.

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in science/engineering.
• 1-3 years’ experience in the beverage industry with operation shop floor experience.
• Experience in Brewing/Biotechnology, etc.
• Knowledge of Total Production Management (TPM) or any other continuous improvement tool.
• Strong analytical skills highly regarded
