CreditBank PNG is recruiting for a suitable candidate for the role of Business Analyst.

The Business Analyst acts as the link between the business and the technical team.

The incumbent is responsible for translating the business needs into technical requirements for the technical team to offer solutions. In addition, they will partner with both business functional specialists such as Finance, Strategy, Operations etc. and the technical development teams to create practical requirements and specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluates business initiatives and develops efficient, cost-effective solutions alongside the business and internal/external technical staff
  • Compiles and accurately documents complex business needs for systems design and development
  • Undertakes the review, analysis, and evaluation of business systems and user needs
  • Responsible for formulating systems that parallel with overall business strategy
  • Proactively identifies, researches, and resolves system issues and suggests recommendations to management, customers, and peers
  • Responsible for developing framework, documenting, and mapping existing and new processes
  • Writes and provides detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Analyzing the design of technical systems and business models.
  • Analyzing business needs.
  • Finding technological solutions to business requirements.
  • Producing reports on application development and implementation.
  • Responsible for formulating design testing strategies, creating test plans, and executing testing of new systems and enhancements
  • Responsible for developing support documentation and training material for supported systems
  • Ensures that appropriate testing, change management, and communication are planned on new systems and enhancements with minimal rework before implementing them
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures, processes, and policies.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, ppt.

Key requirements

  • Degree in computer engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
