We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Business Unit Manager – Snacks & Import to join our already strong and vibrant Sales Team in Port Moresby. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the success and growth of their specific area within the organization, balancing strategic goals with operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Planning:
- Developing and implementing strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Aligning the business unit's objectives with the company's overall strategy.
- Operational Management:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Managing budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Team Leadership:
- Leading and motivating a team, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
- Fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Tracking and analysing performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Implementing corrective actions when necessary to improve performance.
- Financial Oversight:
- Managing the business unit’s financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Preparing financial reports and forecasts.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Innovation and Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
- Leading initiatives to enhance product or service offerings.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensuring the business unit adheres to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Communicating effectively with senior management and other departments.
- Providing regular updates on the business unit’s performance and strategic initiatives.
To be considered for the role, you will need to have:
- Tertiary qualification with a Business Degree in Accounting, Economics, Marketing or Finance
- Field Sales leadership (ASM or RSM)
- Skills in Business Planning, Key Account Management, Field Sales Planning, Marketing or Category Management
- Strong computing, negotiating, leadership and Sales Planning skills
- Exposure to Sales Training
