About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial Procurement Manager will lead the organisation's procurement strategy and purchasing function. The role will drive improved stock availability, forecast accuracy, supplier performance, inventory productivity and gross margin across a broad product portfolio and significant annual purchasing spend.

This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for procurement strategy, category management, demand planning, supplier performance and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement and purchasing function, including team capability and performance.
  • Develop and implement procurement, sourcing and category strategies.
  • Improve demand forecasting, stock availability and inventory productivity.
  • Drive gross margin improvement through sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Lead supplier performance, strategic sourcing and commercial relationship management.
  • Optimise product ranges, purchasing decisions and working capital.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to improve end-to-end commercial outcomes.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
  • Senior procurement, purchasing or commercial leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing significant procurement spend and supplier portfolios.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and strategic sourcing capability.
  • Demonstrated success improving margins, inventory turns and stock availability.
  • Experience in demand forecasting, category management and inventory planning.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce or a related discipline is desirable
