Campus Worker
The Organisation:
Pacific Adventist University (PAU) is owned and operated by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The institution is accredited to the Adventist Accreditation Association, an international denominational authority for all tertiary and graduate educational programs and institutions owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church entities. The main campus is located on the pristine Koiari Park, 14 miles outside Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. The institution was established in 1984. Since then, it has grown from a college of 20 students to a university of over 1000 students from across the Pacific.
The Role:
The Campus Worker reports to the Campus Supervisor and as a collective team are responsible for ensuring that the University grounds are always kept presentable and in an immaculate condition, contributing to a supportive and sustainable campus living environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 10 Qualification.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in landscaping/gardening.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated interest and aptitude for working in a cross-cultural ministry environment.
- Proven ability to use equipment such as shears, lawn mowers, brush cutters and motorised mowing machines.
- Be knowledgeable of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and committed to providing a clean and healthy environment for all residents.
- Communicates effectively, builds positive relationships, and contributes collaboratively to team goals.
- Strong team player with an ability to work with others for a collective goal.
- Ability to follow directions and to work unsupervised.
