Cargo Officer - Madang

PNG Air’s Madang Airport Operations Department is recruiting for Cargo Officer to boost andexpand its manpower in response to the increased flights. The position report to Airport Manager and is Madang based.

The Cargo Officer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

• Adhere to SOPs and IATA rules for proper cargo handling and consignment
• Attention to detail
• Monitoring and rejecting of NOT allowed cargo
• Proper record keeping for cargo movements/consignement for both incoming and outgoing
• Ensure cargoes are loaded on the aircraft
• Properly arranging, sorting and storing cargo
• Meeting cargo operations requirement

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or grade 12 qualification.
• 1-3 years of work experience in cargo handling roles or relative fields
• Sober habits and flexible
• Can work under minimun supervision
• Display a sound understanding of customer service responsibilites in the aviation industry.
• Hard working, trustworthy and results oriented/focused.
• Computer literate.
• Can drive forklift
