We are looking for a REAL CARPENTER.

Not someone who sees a tape measure and asks:

“Boss, what is this for?”

Not someone who cuts the timber first and checks the measurement later.

And definitely not someone who says:

“It’s okay, boss. The painter will cover it.”

IF YOU CAN DO THIS… WE WANT YOU!

MEASURE without guessing.

MARK without making your own artistic design.

CUT without turning a 2-metre timber into a 1.5-metre surprise.

BUILD without needing 17 people to hold one piece of wood.

LEVEL without saying, “From here it looks straight.”

INSTALL A DOOR that actually CLOSES.

INSTALL WINDOWS that don't require a prayer every time it rains.

BUILD FORM WORK without creating a future swimming pool.

And most importantly…

KNOW WHERE YOU PUT YOUR TOOLS!

Because we don't have time every afternoon for:

“Boss… have you seen my hammer?”

NO. WE HAVE NOT.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Build and install doors, windows, frames, partitions, ceilings, cabinets, flooring, roofing components and other woodwork.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and construction materials.
• Read drawings, plans and measurements.
• Construct formwork, framing, supports and temporary structures.
• Install timber, plywood, boards, mouldings, trims and panels.
• Repair and maintain existing structures.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Work with masons, painters, electricians, plumbers and steel workers.
• Keep your work area clean.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards.

WHAT WE EXPECT

- Minimum 2 years' carpentry experience

- Construction/formwork/framing experience

- Good knowledge of timber and construction materials

- Can read basic drawings and measurements

- Can work independently

- Can work with other trades without starting World War III on site

- Physically fit

- Willing to work at heights when properly protected

- Trade certification/training is an advantage

BEFORE YOU APPLY…

• Do you know which end of the hammer to use?
• Can you read a tape measure?
• Can you cut timber without saying “Oops”?
• Can you make something straight without using your phone camera to check it?
• Can you install a door that opens AND closes?
• Can you return company tools after using them?
• Can you follow instructions without replying “I know, boss” and then doing the opposite?
• Can you survive construction work when the weather, materials and project schedule all decide to test your patience?

If you answered YES to everything…

YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THE CARPENTER WE NEED!

“I helped my uncle build a shed once…”
