Position

We’re seeking to recruit a results-driven professional for the position of Cashier to join team as part of the continued growth and operation of 1 Stop Village.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transaction Processing: Accurately scan items, process purchases, accept payments, and issue receipts and correct change.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service, answer customer enquiries, and handle complaints or returns professionally.
• Cash Handling: Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Merchandise Handling: Bag, box or wrap purchased items securely and appropriately.
• Checkout Area Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Store Operations Support: Assist with replenishing shelves and arranging stock during non-peak hours.
• Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures for handling payments, discounts, refunds and other transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification or higher.
• Previous experience working as a Cashier or in a similar role.
• Experience in handling cash, processing customer payments and issuing receipts.
• Familiarity with electronic cash registers, POS systems and barcode scanners.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy retail environment
• Willingness and flexibility to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
