Tabubil Engineering Limited is a major contractor to Ok Tedi Mining Ltd in Western Province of Papua New Guinea. The company now has an immediate vacancy for a suitably qualified person for:

CEMENT MIXER TRUCK DRIVER

Reporting to the Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient service while complying with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport Concrete: Safely operate a cement truck to deliver concrete from mixing plants to various construction.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform safety inspections of truck (pre-trip & post-trip), ensuring it is in safe working condition. Maintain daily vehicle inspection reports and keep the truck clean and well maintained.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cement and other building materials, ensuring proper procedures are followed to minimize spillage and waste
• Documentation: Complete delivery and necessary documentation accurately and submit them daily. Maintain logs of deliveries and vehicle maintenance as per industry requirements.
• Communication: Maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders like dispatchers, site supervisors and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address issues that arise.

Successful candidate must have the following skills and attributes:

• Valid PNG Full Class 4 & Class 7 Drivers License: With a clean driving record and familiarity with PNG traffic laws and regulations.
• Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in the construction industry, is highly desirable. Knowledge of concrete compositions and construction site operations is beneficial.
• Physical Fitness: The role requires physical strength and ability to lift and load materials as well as the ability to work long hours including on public holidays when necessary.
• Communication Skills: Good communication and customer service skills are essential for effective coordination and interaction with clients and team members.
• Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety standards and practices is crucial as the role requires the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
