We are seeking a competent and flexible individual to fill the vacant position of Central Warehouse Supervisor. This position is based in Kimbe, West New Britain Province and reports to the Central Warehouse Manager.
CENTRAL WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
Job Purpose:
The Central Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and ensuring the smooth functioning of the staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Lead and motivate the warehouse team, providing guidance and support to ensure high productivity.
- Tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring that the warehouse is well stocked and that stock levels are maintained.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Train, coach and mentor employees on company policies, warehouse procedures, and equipment, as well as developing their skills and career growth.
- Supervising performance of warehouse staff, ensuring that they meet performance expectations and standards.
- Must ensure that the warehouse meets and exceeds Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Commerce or Economics with relevant certificates in Warehouse & Logistics
- Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse and logistics.
- Proficiency in inventory and/or invoice software
- Able to work extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently
- Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and product issues.
- Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
