About the role

The successful person with be responsible for safe handling of explosives to efficiently charge the blast holes in the development drilled face and slope holes.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Reporting to the Mine Production shift boss this position will be responsible for.
• Maintaining work relationship with all working crews during shift hours.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors.
• Housekeeping as per standard.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 or above and you must have an active explosive handling permit, with a minimum of 2-years' experience in the similar role. You must also have a very good understanding of explosive management act/standards and a good understanding of different explosives. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Must have a good understanding of sequencing and blast patterns and the delays.

• Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.

• stope charging, stope mining and rise mining.
• Ability to lead and coach a team with diverse skills.
