CHEF

Responsibilities include:

• Direct the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other foods. Plan and price menu items, orders supplies, and keep records and accounts. Supervises and participate in cooking and baking and the preparation of foods.
• Oversee dining hall and display and delivery of breakfast and dinner buffet as well as morning crib lunch buffet.
• Passion, inventiveness, and ingenuity required.
• Evidence of Menus and ability to prepare for large numbers whilst meeting HACCP requirements essential.
• Excellent physical condition.
• High school diploma is preferred. Completion of Apprenticeship is essential with at least 10 years’ experience.
• Extra-Curricular courses taken from food suppliers will be highly considered
• Non-Smoking, Non- drinking, Quiet respectful person is sought. A person who is hard working, who takes pride in his job and can lead a small crew of cook and kitchen assistants.
• Team Player with hands on mentality is essential.
• This position will be FIFO job from Lihir on six weeks on x 2 weeks off rotation. Or else otherwise agreed. This is a single person offer (NO FAMILY ACCOM )
• Company will provide all PPE, Major Tools, Food, Medical and Laundry. Plus Chef Uniform
• Sundays (or Saturday) depending on religious will be a non-workday.
• Hours will be 9-hour days or as is required to move the job.
• A police report and a medical certificate will be required.
• References from former Employees/training institutions, course conductors etc. essential. These references must have contactable referees

Renumeration:
