High Arctic Energy Services is seeking experienced Chief Electricians and Electricians to join our drilling operations team in Papua New Guinea. These positions offer the opportunity to work on a long-term client contract supporting critical drilling operations in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

About the Roles
Working within our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of drilling rig electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. Chief Electricians will also lead and mentor electrical personnel, coordinate maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Electricians
- Electrical Trade Qualification and relevant electrical licence
- Minimum 4 – 5 years' industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Oil & Gas or drilling rig experience highly regarded
Chief Electricians
- Electrical Trade Qualification and relevant electrical licence
- For PNG Citizens – must hold a valid PNG Power National Energy Authority (NEA) License
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in oil and gas drilling rig electrical maintenance
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Experience with maintenance planning and CMMS systems
- Strong commitment to safety leadership and personnel development
