Bougainville Copper Limited (BCL) is a majority Bougainville-owned, ASX-listed company with a vision to resume sustainable mining operations at the historic Panguna Mine. The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and drive BCL’s corporate vision forward. With regular business travel to Buka, Bougainville, the CEO will lead and manage the company's operations across Bougainville and Port Moresby, ensuring alignment with the board's goals while fostering partnerships with key stakeholders, including government entities and local communities. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of PNG's most significant mining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic vision, securing board approval and overseeing implementation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with ABG, local communities, and relevant authorities to support the resumption of mining operations.
• Operational Management: Oversee daily business operations, ensure safety, efficiency, and sustainability across all sites.
• Financial Management: Manage company budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive cost-reduction and revenue-enhancement initiatives.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements, ASX listing rules, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within the mining or resource sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and safety standards in the mining industry.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder management, particularly with government bodies and community leaders.
• Financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and driving profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
