Commercial Goods Store Purcahsing Officer
We are pleased to announce an open vacancy exists in our Finance Division for a Commercial Goods Store Purchasing Officer.
Based in Port Moresby, this position will be responsible for Commercial Goods Store inventory (Non-Aircraft Items) including purchasing, receiving, issuing, storage and control in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Goods receipt, labelling and stock management.
- Obtain quotes for goods used by the commercial store and submit for approval to the respective managers.
- Issuing of goods using requisitions in a timely manner.
- Actioning requisitions for commercial stores and filling stock deficiencies when they are identified.
- Ensure stock reorders are done to ensure all stock is held above minimum stock levels.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure all goods are delivered to commercial stores and all stock is secured prior to closing of the stores each day.
- Liaise with department managers to ensure requisitions are approved in a timely manner to ensure stock is on hand to meet demand.
- Minimizing wastage within the commercial stores and ensuring stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Participate and carry out stock take/cyclic stock take.
- Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Maintain a secure area at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the Commercial Goods Stores Supervisor.
Qualification/Experiences:
- Working Experience in Aviation Store/Warehouse/Stores knowledge will be an advantage but not essential.
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree is required.
- Experience with MS Office software.
- Able to utilize search software to find products.
- Able to efficiently communicate with relevant stakeholders & Senior Management.
